David Merschman, 62, of Delphos, passed away Monday, November 11, 2024 at Roselawn Manor in Spencerville.
He was born August 27, 1962 in Lima to Harold J. and Margaret (Berk) Merschman who both preceded him in death. On March 11, 2011 he married Lisa Hamilton who survives in Delphos.
Dave is survived by his children, Andrew (Destiney) Merschman of Delphos, Tasha (Bill) Cross of Delphos, Trevis Wiseman of Lima, and Aaron Wiseman of Delphos; brothers, Harold Merschman, Tom (Kim) Merschman, Paul (Bonnie) Merschman and Jim Merschman, all of Delphos; sister, Barb Burgei of Delphos; mother-in-law, Lola Busch of Delphos; father-in-law, Tim (Sam) Hamilton of Lima; brother-in-law, Tim Hamilton of Delphos; sisters-in-law, Samantha (Mike) Hurley of Indian Lake, Jackie (Roger) Rollins of Russells Point and Amy Hamilton of Lima. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Reese, Avery, Rylee, Evelyn, Jett, Isaac, Keilik, Malik, Aayden and Mylo.
He was also preceded in death by his in-laws, Rick Burgei and Nancy Merschman.
Dave had drove truck for Orbitron, CR England, Conrad, and recently for Dancer Logistics. In his younger days you would find him helping out at Jack’s Pizza and Jim’s Restaurant. He enjoyed his time at Lake Erie fishing and was a fan of the Minnesota Vikings and OSU Buckeyes. He loved spending time with his grandkids. Dave dearly loved his wife, family and friends. He was a friend to everyone and had a heart of gold. He will be remembered for his amazing sense of humor.
The family would like to thank Roselawn Manor and the staff for all their care and compassion for Dave.
A Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 16 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Ft. Jennings.
Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos, where a Parish Wake Service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Van Wert County Humane Society. Online condolences may be shared at weberfh.net.
