David Kroeger, 55, of Delphos, lost his battle with cancer on Monday, February 24, 2025 at The James Hospital in Columbus surrounded by his family and friends.
He was born December 30, 1969 in Landeck to Gerald Kroeger and Lauretta Kroeger Schaffer. His father survives in Delphos, his mother preceded him in death. On December 13, 2003 he married Shelly (Bonifas) Kroeger who survives in Delphos.
Dave ‘Sharky’ is also survived by his children, Chloe and Aiden Kroeger both at home; three sisters, Kay Siefer of Kalida, Sue (Paul) Radabaugh of Landeck and Marianne (Larry) Wiech of Columbus; seven brothers, Larry (Nancy) Kroeger of Landeck, Rick Kroeger of Landeck, Jim Kroeger of Continental, Ron Kroeger of Landeck, Jerry Jr. (Kelly) Kroeger of Rockford, Richard (Kayleen) Kroeger of Findlay, and Leonard Kroeger. He is also survived by his father and mother-in-law, Tom and Judy Bonifas of Kalida; sisters-in-law, Sandy (Rich) Scherer of Rossford and Cindi Bonifas of Columbus; and several aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and friends.
He worked for over 10 years at Vanamatic in Delphos. He was a member of Landeck St. John the Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School. Dave was a member of the Landeck Foresters, VFW Post 3035, and Delphos Jefferson Athletic Boosters. He was a 1988 graduate of Delphos Jefferson. He loved to attend sporting events. Dave had a contagious laugh and was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
A Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 1 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Landeck. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 27, and 2:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos, where a Parish Wake Service will be held Friday at 7:45 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Landeck St. John the Baptist Capital Campaign, the Jefferson Athletic Boosters or to a charity of choice.
