David L. Brinkman

David L. Brinkman, 68, of Delphos, passed away Thursday morning, June 8, 2017, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. His Family.... He was born October 6, 1948 in Lima to Leander and Evelyn (Schmitz) Brinkman who both preceded him in death. On October 7, 1972 David married Thelma (Klausing) Brinkman who survives in Delphos. They were married for over 44 years. He is also survived by one son, Alan (Kellie) Brinkman of Reynoldsburg; three daughters, Sharon (Jody) Cattell of Kalida, Cathy (Dan) Hoffman of Ottoville and Julie (Adam) Caskey of Ottoville; three brothers, Roger (Jackie) Brinkman of Columbus Grove, Greg (Brenda) Brinkman of Leipsic and Dale (Sue) Brinkman of Columbus Grove; three sisters, Janet (Jim) Erford of Miller City, Bec Ellerbrock of Ottawa and Theresa (Blaine) Geise of Atlanta, Georgia; and eleven grandchildren, Alex, Drew, Evvy, Luke, Kristin, Lidia, Aidan, Maddie, Kole, Evan and Nate. He was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Mark Ellerbrock. His Legacy.... Dave was a retired salesman from I&K Distributors. After retirement he drove truck for Schneider Trucking and Dancer Logistics. He also farmed his entire life. Dave was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Council 1362. He loved farming, the outdoors and taking his grandkids fishing and for trailer rides. Dave never met a stranger, he always had a smile on his face and a story to tell. His Farewell Services.... Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 12 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Rev. George Mahas officiating. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Sunday, June 11 at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos, where a K of C service will be held at 7:30 p.m., followed by a Parish Wake Service.
