Carolyn M. Beck

Carolyn M. (Ricker) Beck, 91, of Delphos, passed away the evening of Sunday, June 20, 2021, at The Meadows of Delphos surrounded by her family.

She was born May 8, 1930, in Lima, to Bernard and Permilla (Wannemacher) Ricker, who both preceded her in death.

Carolyn is survived by her children, Mary Jo and Tom Fassel of Belle Center, Jill Beck Coyle and Fred Shelton of Hoschton, GA, Bill and Mary Beck of Jacksonville, FL, Peter and Tere Beck of Delray Beach, FL, Jane and Kevin Ricker of Delphos, Jim Beck and Pam Nulty of Fernandina Beach, FL, and Dan and Maria Beck of Summerville, SC. She is also survived by her brother, Denny and Therese Ricker of Tipp City; sister-in-law, Linda and Tony Sarno; 11 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.

Carolyn was retired from Memorial Hospital, after 27 years, as a Registered Nurse. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She was also a member of the “I’m Special” group in Lima, and an active member of the Silver Sneakers in Delphos before her most recent illness. Carolyn enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, and reading, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

A Memorial Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 6 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, July 5 at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos, where a Parish Wake Service will be held at 7:45 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.  Online condolences may be shared at www.weberfh.net.
