Carol Ann Youngpeter

Carol Ann (Dienstberger) Youngpeter, passed away Friday, February 16, 2018 at Lima Memorial Hospital from a long battle with kidney disease. She was 79 years old. Carol was born to Paul and Delores (Wegesin) Dienstberger in Delphos on March 31, 1938. She was a 1956 graduate of Delphos Jefferson High School. On April 4, 1959 she married Joe Youngpeter, who survives in Delphos. They had five children: Vicki (Alan) Schnipke (Delphos), Peggy (Gary) Pohlman (Ottoville), Becky (Kevin) Miller (Columbus), Tammy (Tim) Rakovan (Rossford), and Mark Joseph Youngpeter who preceded her in death in 1997. She is also survived by her siblings Paul (Janice) Dienstberger (Ashland) Diane (Jim) Boser (Allegany, NY), and Hank (Kathy) Dienstberger (Lancaster Pa). She was also preceded in death by her siblings Dan and Terry Dienstberger. Carol retired after 28 years of service to the Delphos city schools as a bus driver. She was active in her community as a beautician, owning her own shop in the 1960's. Carol was known for her baking skills as her pies were highly enjoyed. She traveled extensively with Joe and her children visiting 49 states and Canada for 45 straight years. Carol loved her animals but above all else, she was a dedicated wife for 58 years to her husband Joe and mother to her five children. As she grew older, her focus was her 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday February 19th at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E 5th Street, Delphos, Ohio 45833 from 2:00 To 8:00 p.m. with a Parish Wake beginning at 7:45 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday February 20th at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 14755 Landeck Rd., Landeck. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Kidney Foundation or the Humane Society of Allen County.
