Carol J. Meyer, 74, of Ft. Jennings, passed away Monday morning, October 30, 2017. Her Family.... She was born November 29, 1942 in Ottoville to Edward and Lucille (Ellerbrock) Sanders, who both preceded her in death. On October 5, 1963 she married Gerald L. Meyer, who preceded her in death on September 11, 2003. She is survived by two sons, Douglas G. (Heather) Meyer and Derek J. (Alisha) Meyer, both of Ft. Jennings; three daughters, Valerie K. (Duane) Neidert of Lorain, Alison (Tom) Wallenhorst of Ft. Jennings and Michelle L. (Lowell) Chapman of Sidney; four sisters, Sister Anna Marie Sanders of Dayton, Mary (Mike) Hoverman of Maumee, Karen (Jim) King of Cairo and Barb Sanders of Columbus; a brother, Jerry (Judy) Sanders of Racine, Wisconsin; and thirteen grandchildren, Taylor Wallenhorst, Shelby Neidert, Connor Wallenhorst, Brittany Neidert, Sidney Chapman, Vanessa Wallenhorst, Justin Chapman, Jase Delgado, Tessa Meyer, Brooklynn Meyer, Mollie Meyer, Waylon Meyer and Lacey Meyer. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Tom Sanders; and a sister, Marilyn Yates. Her Legacy.... Carol was a librarian for 20 years and the manager of the Fort Jennings branch of the Putnam County Library. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the CL of C. Carol was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling. She also enjoyed life as a homemaker on the family farm. Carol loved cooking for her children and grandchildren. Her Farewell Services.... Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 6 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville, Rev. Charles Obinwa officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Sunday at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos, where a Parish Wake Service will be held at 1:30 p.m and a CL of C service at 6:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Putnam County Council on Aging.
