Carol Bruskotter

October 15, 1940 — February 11, 2022

Carol Bruskotter, 81, of Ft. Jennings, passed away Friday morning, February 11, 2022, at The Meadows of Delphos.

She was born October 15, 1940 to the late Richard and Edna (Reindel) Baldauf. On September 5, 1964, she married Donald ‘Jiggs’ Bruskotter, who preceded her in death on July 8, 2018.

She is survived by a son, Ron (Karri) Bruskotter of Oxford; two daughters, Sheryl Wiedeman of Fort Jennings, and Paula (Brad) Meyer of Bellefontaine; three grandchildren: Tyler (Elaina) Wiedeman and Alyssa Wiedeman and Emma Meyer; and one great-granddaughter on the way.  She is also survived by her brothers, Irvin Baldauf of Mendon and Robert (Dottie) Baldauf of Delphos; a sister, Mary (Irvin) Grone of Delphos; and her caregiver, Jill.

She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Russ Wiedeman; a brother, Earl Baldauf; a sister, Alice (Gene) Utrup; and a sister-in-law, Carol Baldauf.

Carol was a farm wife, working side by side with Don on the farm, and homemaker. She had worked part-time at Eagle Print for over 30 years.

Carol was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was also a member of Eagles Aerie 471 and Ft. Jennings American Legion Auxiliary. She was instrumental in starting the t-ball teams in Ft. Jennings many years ago. Carol enjoyed playing softball in Delphos for many years and volleyball with the ladies in Ft. Jennings old elementary gym on Thursdays, which led to her and the ladies heading out for a few “refreshments” after playing.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 16, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Rev. Charles Obinwa officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 15 at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos, where a Parish Wake Service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the funeral Mass Wednesday, at St. Joseph Church. It is the family’s request to dress casual. Memorial contributions may be made to the Musketeer Athletic Boosters.  Online condolences may be shared at www.weberfh.net.
