Barbara Ann Wiechart, 85, of Delphos, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2022, at the Meadows of Delphos.
She was born March 1, 1937 in Akron to Clifford and Henrietta (Mandery) Wilcox, who both preceded her in death. On June 18, 1960, she married Darrell R. Wiechart, who preceded her in death on June 30, 2004.
Barb is survived by three daughters, Debra Zellers of Hartville, OH, Darrilyn (Steve) Lawrence of New Haven, IN, and Cheryl (Thomas) Rohrbach of Medina, OH; a brother, Robert (Judith) Wilcox of Ada, MI; eight grandchildren, Nicholas (Amber) Lawrence, Bethany Lawrence, Angela (Zachary) Lohouse, Michael (Madison) Zellers, John (Madison) Zellers, Ethan Rohrbach, Stephanie Rohrbach, and Mallorie Rohrbach; and three great-grandchildren, Emmalynn Zellers, Fabian Lohouse and Kolton Pethtel.
Barb was a 1955 graduate of Delphos St. John's High School. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Barb worked at Delphos St. John’s School, in the cafeteria, and retired in 2015, after 31 years of service. She enjoyed playing cards, especially with her Class of '55 Club, fishing, and was an avid Delphos St. John's Blue Jay fan. She thoroughly enjoyed her yearly fishing vacations to Oba Lake, in Canada, with her husband and time at their cottage on Atwood Lake. Barb was very thoughtful in remembering the birthdays of family and friends and the holidays by sending cards. When her grandchildren were little no Halloween or Valentine's Day was complete without receiving a card from Grandma. She liked to express her gratitude by sending handwritten thank you notes.
The family would like to thank the Meadows of Delphos and Elcara Caring Hospice for the care they provided Barbara.
