Arthur A. Kleman, 91, of Delphos, passed away Monday evening, February 24, 2025 at his home with his loving wife and children by his side.
He was born September 19, 1933 in Ottawa to Louis and Elizabeth (Kreinbrink) Kleman who both preceded him in death. On December 26, 1964 he married Anna Rose (Kelbley) Kleman who survives in Delphos.
Arthur is also survived by his children, Carol (Joe) Suever of Columbus, IN, Edward Kleman of Delphos, Barb (Terry Kill) Kline of Delphos and Daniel (Amy) Kleman of Van Wert; grandchildren, Luke Suever, Jeremy (Shannon) Kline, Christa (Justin) Marchand, Brooke (Collin) Buettner, Tyler (Fallon) Kline, Austin Kline, Paige Kline, Han Kleman and Brady Kleman; great-grandchildren, Amelia and Cameron Kline, Harper, Josslin, Vayda and Olivia Marchand, Josie and Emma Buettner, and another one on the way. He is also survived by a sister, Eleanor Kleman; and a sister-in-law, Agnes Kleman.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Victor, John and Harry Kleman; six sisters, Martina, Sister Dorothy, Sister Francis, Ester, Louise and Alice (Jerry) Ciotta.
Arthur served in the United States Air Force from 1951-1955. He was retired as a heavy equipment operator for Operating Engineers Local 18. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. He was a board member of Delphos Senior Citizens and was a member of Delphos VFW Post 3035. He worked on St. John’s Church Renovation. He was an avid euchre player and loved going to polka dances and square dancing. You could find him meeting with friends every morning at McDonalds. Having built the home they lived in for almost 50 years, he was a good husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
A Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 28 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos, where a Parish Wake Service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Parish Foundation. Online condolences may be shared at weberfh.net.
