Margaret B. Allemeier, 80, died at Vancrest of Delphos on December 27, 2019. She had been a resident of Vancrest Assisted Living Center of Delphos and enjoyed her independence there until she succumbed to a recent illness. Margaret was born in Delphos on January 13, 1939, to Leo and Catherine (Metzger) Allemeier. She is survived by one sister, Lorene (Jerome) Klima; three brothers-in-law, Gordon Brendle and Carl German, both of Delphos, and John Arbogast of Hamilton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her parents, her brother Hilary, and her sisters, Edna Arbogast, Marie Brendle, and Monica German predeceased her, as did her very dearest friend, Alice Spitnale. Margaret was a member of the parish of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She attended the innovative Divine Providence Academy located on the Potts Estate in Elverson, Pennsylvania, where she completed her education and entered into the workforce. She was employed through the Brookhill Center Industries until her retirement. Margaret enjoyed traveling, writing, embroidery, and was interested in anything related to the State of Hawaii. She was deeply loved by her family and friends. Her life was a symbol of respect and dignity of every person. A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 3 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, where Margaret B. Allemeier will be laid to rest alongside her devoted parents. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos, where a Parish Wake Service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Parish Foundation or to the Right to Life Society of Lima and Allen County.
