Louise A. McRedmond

Louise A. McRedmond, 86, of Delphos, passed away Monday morning, February 12, 2018 at Mercy Health-St. Rita's Medical Center. Her Family.... She was born April 5, 1931 to Carl and Mildred (Kimmet) Holdgreve, who both preceded her in death. On January 8, 1951, she married John A. McRedmond, who preceded her in death on July 13, 1997. She is survived by three sons, Craig McRedmond of Findlay, Patrick McRedmond and Michael McRedmond, both of Delphos; two daughters, Dana McRedmond and Erin (Edward) Castle, both of Delphos; four brothers, Robert Holdgreve and John (Pat) Holdgreve, both of Delphos, Irvin (Janet) Holdgreve of Michigan, and Ralph Holdgreve of Delphos; five grandchildren, Jordan Castle, Anthony (Amanda) McRedmond, Courtney McRedmond, John McRedmond and Emily McRedmond; and two great-grandchildren, Liam and Graham McRedmond. She was also preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Richard Schwinnen; a sister-in-law and her husband, Rita and Jim Miller; and sisters-in-law, Mary Elizabeth VanSchoyck and Donna Holdgreve. Her Legacy.... Louise was a 1949 graduate of St. John's High School and attended St. Rita's Medical Center School of Nursing. She did private duty health care for many years. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Louise was an avid reader and loved the Delphos Public Library. She will be dearly missed for her story telling. She was a diehard St. John's girls' basketball fan in her earlier years. Louise always took care of others before herself. Her Farewell Services.... A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 17 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Delphos Public Library or Delphos Relay for Life.
