Jared Benson, 33, of Middle Point, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016, at St. Rita's Medical Center. His Family.... He was born October 18, 1982 in Sandusky to Paul and Sandy (Stark) Benson. On April 25, 2006 he married Nicole (Schmidt) Benson. He is survived by his parents, Paul and Sandy Benson of Lancaster; his loving wife of ten years, Nicole Benson of Middle Point; two daughters, Jennifer Benson, 9 and Angela Benson, 8; two sons, Isaiah Benson, 7 and Elijah Benson, 5; brothers and sisters, Joe (Wendy) Benson of Xenia, Jake (Stacey) Benson of Missouri City, Texas, Kristina Benson of Bucyrus, Beth (Brett) Peterson of Blackfoot, Idaho, Jordan (Brittany) Benson of Wausau, Wisconsin and Justin Benson of Xenia; paternal grandparents, David and Rose Benson of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and many aunt, uncles, nieces, nephews and loved ones. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Julia and Harold Stark; an aunt, Linda Fontana; and a nephew, Maverick Benson. His Legacy.... Jared recently joined the Van Wert Civic Theater family. He had worked for Penske for four years, loving every minute of his job. He was a war veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He lovingly fostered children through SAFY. He was a Browns fan alongside his family. Jared was a proud father and husband, loved by all who met him. Many people only meeting Jared once were still family to him. He loved life and everyone who filled it. His Farewell Services.... A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 2 at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos followed by Military Honors accorded by the Delphos Veterans Council. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Sunday, May 1 at Weber Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his family.
