Betty survived with Sandy the deep snows of Michigan's Upper Peninsula where they lived until their return to Ohio in 1989. She attended Delphos St. John's grade and high schools as well as St. Marys College in Notre Dame, Indiana where she graduated with a degree in Liberal Arts. She played Cello in the St. John's High School orchestra and later attended the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music studying piano. She spent many hours driving the nuns of St. John's to Toledo and other places in an era when few of them could drive and all of them forbidden to do so. She also assisted her mother "Mimi" who was very active in work with the migrants of that time. Betty worked in her father's business, Myers Cleaners of Delphos for many years. She was an avid golfer and spent many pleasant hours on the links in Michigan as well as on courses in Florida and Alabama where they often spent winters and met and made many good friends among their fellow "snowbirds." Though small in stature she had a huge heart and a radiant smile that lighted up any room she entered. She had a genuine empathy for people and always had a nice word to say to everyone she met. She will be sorely missed by everyone who knew her. Her Farewell Service...It was her wish to be cremated. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
