Donna Marie Klinger

November 21, 1960 — June 19, 2024

DELPHOS – Donna Klinger, 63, of Delphos, went home, to her Lord and Savior on June 19, 2024.

She was born November 21, 1960 to Richard J. and Rita E. Klinger. Both preceded her in death. She has one brother, Michael (Pam) Klinger and a sister Sandra Schmersal; one heart sister, Cynthia Prye; best friends, Dave and Vita Hefner; niece, Deana (Jeff) Sievert; nephews, Guy (Stacey) Schmersal and (heart son) TJ (Tina) Schmersal, Jacob (Molly) Klinger and Ben (Amy) Klinger; many great nephews, nieces, great-great nieces and nephews. She also had tons of friends and neighbors who she loved and felt so blessed to have in her life.

Donna’s greatest achievement and love in life was her daughter, Jesse (Jeremy) Jackson. They blessed her with two beautiful granddaughters, Kierstin Rae and Lila Meredith Jackson, who she loved to the moon and back, to infinity and beyond. She also had one granddog, Rocco and one grandcat, Sonny.

Donna was a 4-H horse advisor for Van Wert County for many years. She enjoyed children and animals.

She worked for C&D, dba All Phase Electric for 36 years, whom she considered part of her family. She also worked for Hollowell Dog Academy, then on to That Place for Pets, training people and their dogs. She also fostered many boxers through Great Ohio Boxer Rescue. She was very passionate about her job training dogs, so much so that she started her own business, D.O.N.N.A. (Disciplining Our Naughty Natured Animals) going into people’s homes to help them. She cherished her clients and their dogs. They became her family.

Her family was her everything. Spending time with them meant the world to her. She leaves behind her three Australian Shepherds, Boo (passed of liver cancer July 15th, 2023), Mercy and Whiskey and her Basset Hound Ruby Roo. She loved to show them in AKC Rally and Obedience shows. They won many awards. She had one cockatiel, Tiki. Donna was so very rich and blessed. She was also an AKC Good Citizenship Tester and instructor for many years.

Donna gave a good fight to beat cancer once, but it came back, but she would not let it define her. She loved hummingbirds, the breeze through a wind chime and the smell of honeysuckle. If you smell, see or hear any of these, know that she is there.

Her favorite quote, “Courage doesn’t always roar, sometimes it’s the quiet voice at the end of the day that says ‘I’ll try again tomorrow’.”

There will be no funeral or celebration of life.
