Robert B. Hotz

Robert B. Hotz, 87, of Beverly Hills, Florida, formerly of Delphos, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at his home. His Family.... Bob was born July 25, 1930 in Delphos to Sylvester and Dorothy (Lause) Hotz, who both preceded him in death. On April 11, 1953, he married Charlotte (Shaffer) Hotz, who survives in Beverly Hills, Florida. He is also survived by a son, Kelly (Kathy) Hotz of Inverness, Florida; two sisters, Betty Birkmeier of Delphos, and Dottie Hellkamp, of Iowa; three grandchildren, Kristian Porco of Plantation, Florida, Patrick ‘PK' Hotz of Floral City, Florida, and LeighAnn Hotz, of Beverly Hills, Florida; and 4 great-grandchildren, Nicoletta and Milana Porco of Plantation, Florida, and Cheyenne Rayne and Killian Patrick Hotz of Floral City, Florida. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Holli Ann Hotz; a sister, Rita Rezick; and a brother, Carl Hotz. His Legacy.... Bob retired from Ford as an engineer. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Delphos. Bob was also a member of the American Legion, VFW Auxiliary 3035, Eagles Aerie 471, and a lifetime member of the Elks of Van Wert. Bob loved his great-grandchildren, always looking forward to seeing them. His Farewell Services.... A Memorial Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on June 11 at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth Street, Delphos, the Rev. Ted Miller officiating. Burial will be Tuesday, June 12 at 1:00 in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ohio City, Ohio. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's School.
