Paul Krietemeyer Obituary

Paul V. Krietemeyer, 78, of Ft. Jennings, passed away Monday morning, May 26, 2014, at The Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center surrounded by his loving family. His Family.... He was born July 7, 1935 in Ft. Jennings to the late Albert and Helen (Schuerman) Krietemeyer. On February 10, 1994 he married Carolee (Johnson) Krietemeyer who survives in Ft. Jennings. He is also survived by his children, Mike Schuerman of Lima, Tim (Kathy) Schuerman of Lima, Greg (Carol) Schuerman of Delphos, Mark (Trina) Schuerman of Ft. Jennings and Diana (David) Ketcham of Ft. Jennings; siblings, George (Mary Lou) Krietemeyer of Ft. Jennings, Alice (Joe) Lammers of New Cleveland, Donald (Carol Ann) Krietemeyer of Ft. Jennings, Robert (Elaine) Krietemeyer of Perry Park, Kentucky and Thomas (Rose) Krietemeyer of Ft. Jennings; 14 grandchildren and three great-granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Richard Krietemeyer. His Legacy.... Paul was a Putnam County farmer, both in the field and part-time road farmer with his brother Tom. He was member of the Putnam County Cattle Feeders and also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a 1954 graduate of Ft. Jennings High School. He enjoyed watching his nieces and nephews participate in the county fair and also fishing at the lake. He especially cherished and loved spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren grow up. His Farewell Services.... Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ft. Jennings with Father Charles Obinwa officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Friday, May 30, 2014 at Strayer Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos and again on Saturday for one hour prior to the service at the church. There will be a parish rosary service at 2:00 p.m. Friday afternoon at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
